YIN YOGA is totally different to our usual hatha or yang yoga. Hatha yoga and all the other styles that come under that name are mainly working with the muscles. Yin yoga is targeting the connective tissue and balancing the flow of chi in the meridians.Of course both have a beneficial effect on each other .
By using props, mainly bolsters and blankets we can get the body feeling safe and supported. Then holding the postures
for 1-20 minutes, depending on the posture, the body and experience of the practitioner, we can get a deep fascial release. Mentally there is time to turn off the busyness, come out of fight or flight into rest and digest mode and
chill out.
HATHA YOGA
The practice I offer is a unique mixture of many styles. There is a strong kundalini influence and my training in qi gong is integrated in the practice. We explore many different postures and flows but they are always done slowly and mindfully.
The breath is the cornerstone of yoga, without breath awareness the postures can be super exercises but they are not yoga.
I offer small groups in both styles of yoga in my private studio. For a timetable, prices and availability please contact me .I also teach in several gyms. My speciality is one2one sessions using my knowledge in alternative health therapies and combining it with yoga to offer an individual healing, yoga session.
